A new Food Festival ambassador corps has been formed, and AU FOOD’s Head of Department, Anne Louise Dannesboe Nielsen, is a part of it.

The announcement comes as Food Festival launches a brand-new ambassador corps aimed at strengthening the festival’s future and deepening its societal impact. The initiative brings together prominent voices from politics, business, and academia to help shape the direction of Danish food culture and innovation.

”The ambassadors will contribute their knowledge and ideas about how food can drive real societal change”, says Festival Director Anna Lund, and elaborates: ”We are truly proud that some of the country’s most prominent voices from politics, business, and education have agreed to join the corps, so we can jointly envision and create a sustainable and innovative future for Food Festival.”

Anne Louise Dannesboe Nielsen’s inclusion in this group highlights AU FOOD’s commitment to advancing food systems that are both sustainable and socially impactful. Her expertise in food policy, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration will be a valuable asset to the festival’s mission.

“We’re thrilled that Anne Louise will be representing AU FOOD in this important initiative,” says the AU FOOD team. “Her voice will help ensure that research and education remain central to the national conversation about food.”

The ambassador corps includes key figures such as Aarhus Mayor Anders Winnerskjold, Region Midtjylland Chairman Anders Kühnau, and Salling Foundations Vice Chair Karin Salling, among others. Together, they will help guide the festival’s evolution as a platform for dialogue, innovation, and community engagement.

Food Festival just returned to Tangkrogen in Aarhus this September for its 12th edition, where it welcomed over 250 companies and 30,000 guests. With Anne Louise Dannesboe Nielsen now among its ambassadors, AU FOOD looks forward to contributing even more actively to the vibrant future of Danish food culture.
