Workshop: Resilient Northern Crops

Info about event

Time

Friday 6 December 2019,  at 13:00 - 17:00

Location

Department of Food Science, Agro food park 48, 8200 Aarhus

Field crops are under pressure due to climate change. Knowledge on how they respond to single abiotic stress is good, but we focus on the less known effects of multiple stresses for developing future resilient crops. Wheat constitute 46% of EU’s cereal production and is predicted to move North. In Scandinavia wheat competes with barley, rye, oats and potato.

The workshop aims to give an overview of some of the research on climate effects on our main field crops in the Northern region and focus on how we can develop this further.

The workshop is open to scientists, companies and students with interest in future crops.
