Open Field Day at Value4Farm – experience future technologies in action

How can we combine energy and food production in ways that are both sustainable and practical? That is the key question driving the research project Value4Farm – and on 4 June, we invite you to join us for an open field day

Info about event

Time

Wednesday 4 June 2025,  at 15:00 - 17:30

Here we showcase three core technology platforms:

Agrivoltaics – integrating solar panels and crops on the same land. Discover how this dual-use approach can contribute to both energy production and agriculture.
Green biorefining – turning grass into protein feed, green fertiliser and other valuable bio-based products.
Biomethanisation – converting residues from green biorefining and livestock manure into renewable gas.

During the event, you will have the opportunity to:

  • See the technologies demonstrated in the field

  • Meet the researchers and ask questions

  • Get inspired by how science and practice can work together

  • Connect with professionals from agriculture, energy and advisory services

The event is organised in collaboration with Green Valleys’ field day and is aimed at farmers, advisors, energy planners and anyone interested in the synergies between energy and agriculture.

Meet the experts behind the technologies:

Uffe Jørgensen, Aarhus University
Maryam Rahimi Jahangirlou, Aarhus University
Kamau Lindhardt, Aarhus University
Morten Ambye-Jensen, Aarhus University
Michael Vedel Wegener Kofoed, Aarhus University

When and where:
Wednesday, 4 June 2025, 15:00–17:30
