Info about event

Time

Tuesday 25 June 2019,  at 16:00 - 18:00

Tuesday 25 June, Aarhus University opens a new biorefinery plant able to process “wet” green biomasses to be used in the production of a broad range of sustainable and bio-based products.

The demonstration platform is established with a view to optimizing and validating process-technical solutions and will provide solid datasets used to calculate economic, environmental and climate sustainability.

We expect the plant to play a central role in relation to the development of opportunities for establishing a green, Danish protein production. The plant is central in the green transition of Danish agriculture.

Building costs amounted to approx. 15 million DKK, and the establishment of the plant was facilitated via funding from various foundations and companies, including  Arla, Danish Crown, DLG, DLF, GUDP, the Central Denmark Region and Aarhus University..
