In DCA’s Centre Unit, the science-based advice requested by ministries and others in the field of agriculture and food is coordinated. The Centre Unit has the primary contact with the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries (FVM) and the Ministry of Environment (MIM) regarding the science-based advice and the agreements related to it, including the agreements on Plant Production, Animal Production, and Food Quality and Consumer Behavior. Additionally, other science-based advisory tasks within DCA’s area are coordinated and supported. All steps in the advisory process follow the Faculty of Technical Sciences’ ISO9001 certified quality management system.
I am Quality Coordinator at DCA, which means that I support the implementation, application, and continuous improvement of the quality management system, including handling nonconformities, internal audits, and answering ongoing questions from advisors and colleagues in the central unit. I coordinate science-based advisory tasks, including expectation alignment, quality assurance, and delivery of products, primarily within the areas of Animal behavior, -welfare and -health, and Climate-smart production systems.
