Future Food Innovation changes name - and focus

Future Food Innovation, where Aarhus University is a partner, has just changed its name to Future Food & Bioresource Innovation. With the change of name comes a new and broader focus, making it possible for innovation projects from across the value chain to receive support.

Future Food Innovation has changed its name to Future Food & Bioresource Innovation, as the entire value chain will be in focus in the future.

The program Future Food & Bioresource Innovation has been created to help small and medium-sized businesses to create innovation and growth – and thus secure an internationally competitive food and bioresource industry. This is accomplished by creating innovation cooperation between companies and knowledge institutions.

With the changed focus, the program becomes relevant for even more companies.

- We have expanded our focus to include both food and bioresources to foster the spread of innovative ideas across the entire value chain. The new name reflects this - and thus our commitment to promoting the bioeconomic solutions that will become more important in the future, says Jette Feveile Young, researcher at the Department of Food at Aarhus University and steering committee member of Future Food & Bioresource Innovation.

Future Food & Bioresource Innovation is a national initiative rooted in Agro Business Park with a consortium consisting of leaders in innovation of food and bioresources in Denmark. In addition to Aarhus University, the consortium includes Agro Business Park, VIFU Knowledge Center for Food Innovation, Business Hub Central Denmark, Danish Technological Institute and Danish Food Cluster - and as something new, the University of Copenhagen and the Technical University of Denmark, who were not part of Future Food Innovation, is now part of Future Food & Bioresource Innovation.
